Adventure days - refresh & refuel

If you’ve been busy wildlife spotting or running around Dalkeith Country Park, stop at The Kitchen at Restoration Yard, an award winning restaurant in the heart of the park.

Plan your post activity stops at a local pub like The Flotterstone Inn, The Original Rosslyn Inn or The Papermill Lasswade.  From the Pizza Kitchen at Stewart Brewing to the  Secret Herb Garden Cafe, you don’t have to travel far for lots of choice.

Jump, run, paddle

Join the weekly park run at Vogrie Country Park. The fun and friendly 5k run will start your weekend on a high. Stop at Soutra Café at Pathhead nearby for a delicious breakfast or lunch. For a fun day out with the family try trampolining at RYZE and explore the interconnected field of trampolines for all ages. At Go Ape at Dalkeith Country Park you can go on a tree top adventure and see the forest from a whole new perspective.

For something a little more calming, go paddleboarding at Gladhouse Reservoir, the largest body of freshwater in Midlothian. Contact Skymonster Watersports and Driftwood Adventures for some watersports fun.
