Dalkeith Country Park is a special destination unlike any other. Situated just a few miles from Edinburgh off the City Bypass, our mission is to make you happy, inspire you and deliver an exceptional day out.

You’ll find the magical Fort Douglas adventure park, Go Ape and Restoration Yard, a gorgeous store, restaurant and wellbeing space in the former eighteenth century stableyard.

What’s more, it’s all set within a gorgeous 1,000 acre park with waymarked walking and cycling routes, camping in the summer and a whole programme of special events throughout the year.

Take in the stunning nature including the SSSI Old Oak Wood and views of our beautiful architecture including Dalkeith Palace, Montagu Bridge and the 18^th Century Orangerie while enjoying one of our waymarked walks or cycle routes.

Lots of opportunity for wildlife spotting, a run around and something tasty to eat.
