Midlothian Snowsports Centre, Hillend is Britain’s longest and most challenging artificial ski slope. Also perfect for beginners, there are two main slopes, three nursery slopes and brand new fun slope which are all floodlit and open all year round. Equipment is provided and a qualified team of instructors can offer lessons for all levels, including freestyle and race coaching.

It’s the first in Scotland
The coaster is interactive, riders can slow their cart down
The coaster ride includes a 360 degree helix
The vertical drop is approximately 74 metres
The maximum speed is regulated to 28mph
Including the ascent, the ride is just over 3 minutes
