The Moorfoot Hills are on the Southern Upland Route for a challenging cycle. A hilly climb with this cycle trip out but rewarded with lovely views across the Pentland Hills.
Start in Rosewell, where there is parking. Cycle on quiet minor roads and rough tracks. Along the way lots of picnic spots by Gladhouse Reservoir and near Middleton.
20 miles and 2.5 hrs approx if nonstop!
