Immersed in nature, Penicuik Estate is a stunning rural retreat. Home to a collection of grand and iconic houses, cottages, and lodges offering events and curated experiences for up to 120 people across 3,100 hectares of Designed Landscape. Situated just 10 miles south of Edinburgh, the estate was one of the first Designed Landscapes in Scotland. Today, Penicuik Designed Landscape and its collection of Palladian architecture rank as some of the finest and most original in Scotland. Designed with conservation and sustainability in mind, each successive generation has contributed to Penicuik Estate’s natural and architectural beauty.

Penicuik Paper Trail is an easy walking route linking the town of Penicuik with the beautiful estate of Penicuik House. Riverside and woodland pathways. Some fascinating places to explore including the ponds, lost garden and the ruins.
