Rosslyn Chapel

Now known throughout the world, Rosslyn Chapel was founded in 1446 by Sir William St Clair. The beauty of its setting and its ornate medieval stonework have inspired, attracted and intrigued artists, writers and visitors ever since.

The Chapel and visitor centre are open all year round. Days are now split into 90-minute timeslots, each with a talk from one of the Chapel’s Guides, and information on the carvings and building’s history is available in 12 languages.
